We have several days
that are available "off-the-peg":
Using "Children's"
Stories
- Life's Little Obstacles -
using Michael Rosen's "We're Going on a Bear-Hunt" as our starting point
- Different Voices - Different Visions - using Dyan Sheldon's "The Whales' Song"
- Finding Treasure -
using "Gilbert's Birthday" - a story by Kathryn
Days of Discernment
These are days for people who may be planning to come into the
Church - or are returning - or people who just wish to look more deeply at what being a
Christian - a Catholic - means.
- The Journey - using the
image of a journey to look at where we have been in our lives -and where we hope to be
going!
- Reclaiming Baptism - a Day
centred around the symbols used in Baptism - reflecting on their deeper meanings
Lent Days - or
any other time of the year really!
- Showing the Way - the
companion day to the project. This day also uses Gilbert (see above!)
- Two Big Questions - and an Invitation... - like it says!
General Days
- Introduction to Prayer - a
quick look at various forms of prayer! Which forms you'd like to look at depends on you -
but could include: centring prayer - Taizé prayer(not just in churches) - imaginative
prayer - praying with the senses - praying with clay & art - use of symbol in prayer -
need we go on??
- The Mystic Rose Garden - in
fact, a series of days using the Rosary as a starting-point. Using pictures,
Scripture, imaginative contemplation, individual and group prayer, we "stroll"
around the Mystical Rose Garden and enter more deeply into the mysteries it contains.
- Finding God in Fun -
workshops for families culminating in an act of worship. We have the materials
- but you'll need to supply the extra pairs of hands for this one!
- Waiting in Joyful Hope - originally
intended as an Advent Day - but lends itself to any day reflecting on the hopes and
yearnings that people experience and long to see fulfilled...
Workshops for Group Leaders
- General Introduction to Preparing -
Leading - and Resources for Small-group Prayer.
What a mouthful! Basically - how to lead small groups in worship and
discussion in a sitting-room - or church-hall if necessary. (That wasn't much of an
improvement really was it?)
- As above but focusing on
- Advent/ Christmas/ Epiphany/ Candlemas
- Lent/ Easter/ Pentecost
- Ordinary Time
None of the Above?
We can create a day that's tailor-made for you -
Get in touch with us - and we'll see what we can do!
(I didn't intend that to be a rhyming slogan type thing - it just happened...)
