Praying with People who have been bereaved

at Wisdom Centre, Romsey

On Saturday 20 March, we will be leading a day looking at ways of praying with people who have been bereaved. This is being organised by Sarum College, Salisbury as part of the Pastoral Liturgy Programme - though the day itself will be at Wisdom Centre in Romsey, Hampshire.

As is usual on our days, we will be drawing on our 20+ years of experience of working with people in parishes and individuals in many and varied situations. We will explore some of the many ways in which adults and children can be supported through prayer - ritual - symbol - story. We will, naturally, use some of our own resources - such as those found in our Liturgies section - but will suggest others that might also be useful. There will also be opportunities for participants to share experiences and to try out ideas of their own. This day is open to all but will be especially suitable for those with pastoral care of the bereaved: clergy, lay pastoral workers, bereavement counsellors.

The day will run from 10am-4pm and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
